One week course

The Fundamentals of Floristry Level One

This one week course can be undertaken as a module on its own - or as part of the Five Week Career Course.

An essential course for beginners seeking a thorough introduction to the craft, The Fundamentals of Floristry - Part One is a programme filled with plenty of know-how and hands-on projects. Led by experienced tutors who have first-hand experience across each area of work within McQueens Flowers, this in-depth module focuses on the building blocks of the craft - from indispensable know-how such as flower care to mastering intricate skills such as wiring.

At the core of this module is an insight to retail floristry, with students having the opportunity to create a scope of hand-tied designs, meet suppliers and master gift-wrap techniques. These newfound floristry accomplishments will enable you to tackle more ambitious projects such as wreaths, table arrangements and garlands towards the finale of the module.
