We recently revealed that here at McQueens Flowers, Christmas preparations have been in the works for quite some time. Our creatives begin their plans during the balmy days of summer - particularly the teams who dream up stunning weekly displays for our restaurant and hotel friends. With distinct and discerning personalities - each Christmas display is tailored to the surrounds of the establishment. McQueens Flowers have now sprinkled there final bit of magic dust and can stand back and appreciate the months of yuletide preparation. Here are just a handful of special places you can spot our festive handiwork.
The 5* Mayfair institution is a dazzling sight all year round - and Christmas is no different. For 2019 a glistening forest has swept the hotel - look out for frosty detail in the alcoves and a winter wonderland archway...
London's most glittering landmark, The Shard is home to the equally glittering Shangri La hotel. The contemporary and ethereal surrounds have been decked with fantastical detail that wouldn't look out of place in a winter's fairytale - lookout for the statement tree adorned with pastel ornaments and sparkling foliage.
If you have ever stepped foot inside The Connaught hotel you will be familiar with its timeless elegance and grandeur. To befit the surroundings - we had the pleasure of creating a truly classic Christmas complete with a garland-clad staircase, shimmering golden trees and fireplaces crowned with wreaths.
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park
The marble brilliance of Knightbridge's Mandarin Oriental has been adorned with equally decadent festive decor. Two key signature elements informed the design, the hotel's emblem of a fan and its colour palette of mint green.
It would seem as though an enchanting spell has been cast across the majestic Rosewood London. The other-worldly, contemporary design showcases sculptural trees festooned with hydrangea, fir cones and dazzling jewel-hued ornaments.
London Transport Museum
During the final week of the McQueens Flower School Four Week Vocational Course, students often go out on location to reat group installation masterpieces. This festive season, the school were delighted to create a very special wreath for The London Transport Museum - inspired by the capital's transport roundel sign. The installation was doubly exciting as the museum is located on the site of the original Covent Garden Flower Market!
